Professional tool kit
Professional Workshops
This section of the website is aimed at professionals who come into contact with children. This section of the website is still being built. It will contain more detailed information about child abuse, trauma, attachment and brain development. It will regularly synthesise research in the clinical, cognitive and trauma fields associated with child abuse and child protection.
It will also feature self paced learning modules about child abuse and children at risk for professionals to complete online.
The professional toolkit will include easy to adapt policies and protocols that can be used by club/groups/organisations on a range of child safe practices including employee or volunteer selections, responding to allegations of abuse by children and inducting and orienting new members/leaders/staff.
It will draw on a number of research outcomes including joint projects conducted by the Australian Childhood Foundation in conjunction with the National Research Centre for the Prevention of Child Abuse at Monash University. It will showcase resources and training opportunities offered by the Australian Childhood Foundation.
